3 June 2026  ·  New confirmation  ·  Affects: Part 11 (The Infrastructure Stack) / Part 14 (The Accountability Gap)

Parliament identifies Palantir as "an unacceptable point of weakness." A cross-party parliamentary committee report published 3 June 2026 described Palantir as an "unacceptable point of weakness" in NHS infrastructure. The finding is significant for two reasons. First, it is the first formal parliamentary acknowledgement that the risk profile of a specific technology supplier constitutes a structural problem, not merely a procurement question. Second, Parliament has identified one layer of a four-layer stack. The NHS Federated Data Platform is Layer 3, intelligence layer. The same company holds contracts for MoD targeting systems, the Financial Conduct Authority, and eleven police forces. Parliament's scrutiny has reached the most publicly visible node. The rest of the stack has not been examined as a whole. This investigation documents that whole.

1 June 2026  ·  New confirmation  ·  Affects: Part 11 (The Infrastructure Stack) / Part 7 (The Surveillance Company)

FCA Palantir Foundry contract confirmed. The Guardian reported on 1 June 2026 that the Financial Conduct Authority holds a confirmed Palantir Foundry contract. This extends the documented Palantir footprint to the body responsible for regulating UK financial markets, financial crime enforcement, and consumer protection across the financial system. The confirmed Palantir footprint across UK critical institutions now covers: NHS England (£330m, identifiable patient data confirmed); Ministry of Defence (£240.6m, all security classifications, no competitive tender); AWE nuclear programme (£15m); Financial Conduct Authority (confirmed June 2026); eleven police forces. These are not separate procurement decisions by separate institutions. They are one company's architecture, installed incrementally, across every domain of the British state. The switching cost analysis in Part 13 applies across all five simultaneously.

1 June 2026  ·  New development  ·  Affects: Part 4 (The Lobby) / Mandelson thread

Second tranche of Mandelson appointment files released. The UK government released a second batch of files relating to Peter Mandelson's appointment as US Ambassador on 1 June 2026, reported by Reuters, ITV, and The Independent. The Metropolitan Police criminal investigation into Mandelson was opened in February 2026. He was removed from the ambassadorship in September 2025 following the emergence of his connections to Jeffrey Epstein. This investigation documented Mandelson's role as a Palantir client through Global Counsel and his facilitation of Prime Minister Starmer's visit to Palantir's headquarters, prior to NHS contract award. The ongoing parliamentary and police scrutiny of Mandelson's conduct is relevant background to that documented facilitation role. No finding of wrongdoing has been established. The public record is noted.
